Because We Care
Idaho Falls is a small community (with a population of barely more than 50,000) located in the Snake River Valley in Southeast Idaho. Rich in history, culture and industry, the community is growing and expanding while holding to the traditions espoused by its founders and community leaders. In 2005, Melaleuca Inc. purchased a full-page running ad in the city's only daily newspaper, the Post Register, to be used as a forum for highlighting important businesses, charitable projects, community events and pertinent community issues.
For the two years since its beginning, the Community Page has been used to feature businesses native to Idaho Falls, such as Farr's Candy; upcoming events, such as the annual Rotary Duck Race; and charitable associations, including the local chapter of the Salvation Army.
The Community Page has also served as a watchdog for local media, an educational resource for local voters, and a place for community members to express concerns and opinions about the issues that matter most to them. As responsible members of the community, this is our way of using the resources available to us to share the information we feel pertinent for citizens in this area. |
